June 21
ATV / UTV 50" Trail Maintenance Detail
4th of July Pass Trail 800
Leader: Larry May
Time 9:00am

Trail maintenance to be completed on several dates and will include Trail 800, 800A, 800B, & 999

These trails require a 50 ATV/UTV to be on them, however people with larger side by's can call me and we can make arrangements for rides.

For the during the week day maintenances scheduled, we would like to see at least 6 people for a crew. Seven or eight is better. On Sat details we would like to have at least 12 people (14 to 16 better) this would allow us tp have two crews.  If enough folks are available.

The future dates planned are Wed June 21, Wed July 12, Sat July 15, Wed July 19, all meeting at the 4th of July Parking lot.

Please signup so we know how many helpers we'll have on each detail.

Gas/Store:

As you exit off I-90, there is the Exxon gas station/store on the south side of the freeway.  The gas station/store along the Coeur d’Alene River Road on the north side is/was closed for business.

Questions:   Kim Homdrom / Cell:  (208) 661-6565 / E-mail:  khomdrom@hotmail.com

Directions to Bumblebee Meadows

From I-90 take Exit 43 – Kingston.  Go north towards the Snake Pit. This is the “Coeur d’Alene River Road” or Road 9.  Your closest gas station/store will be on the south side of I-90 as you exit.

You’ll pass a gas station / convenience on your right on the curve – Currently Closed.  Next on your right will be the Snake Pit, aka, Enaville Resort, a restaurant/bar and historic stop.

After this will be a small brown sign saying “Bumblebee 5 miles”.

You will turn left and go over the river.  This is Road 209, or North Fork of Coeur d’Alene River (road and creek)

Note:  On the other side of the bridge you will cross “Old River Road”, Road 503.  If you were to turn right, it will take you to Country Lane Resort, a restaurant, bar, camp ground.  Phone reception seems to be lost/gained about this bridge.

From the bridge continue on…  There are four “Meadows” on you left, managed by BLM.

Meadow #1 is about 1.4 miles
Meadow #2 is about 1.6 miles.
Meadow #3 is about 2.5 miles.

In-between these two, there will be a road to your right and Bumble Campground.

Meadow # 4 is about 3.1 miles. (the first left after the campground road)  When you first pull in you will see the information board and restroom facility.

Each Meadow has its’ own entrance, and bulletin board map when you drive in.  The first two Meadows are not suitable for camp trailers, Meadow #3 or #4 accommodate trailers.
