KOOTENAI CO., Idaho — Kootenai County deputies are reminding out of state travelers to steer clear of Idaho recreational areas amid the state’s extended stay-home order.
The order states out of state visitors can only enter Idaho when performing essential duties, like working.
In a release, the Sheriff’s Office said deputies will be providing ‘educational outreach’ to people they find hanging out in popular recreation areas who don’t currently live in Idaho.
The Sheriff’s Office listed boat launches and trailheads as two areas deputies will be surveying.
If you are caught visiting from another state, KCSO says you must quarantine for two weeks, or the number of days you were in Idaho.
